Harrison Ford has withdrawn from tonight’s Oscars as a presenter at the last minute – here’s why.

Over the weekend, Harrison Ford was unable to present at the Oscars due to shingles, with Mark Hamill stepping in to take his place at the podium, according to ABC News.

The 82-year-old “Indiana Jones” star contracted the painful disease, caused by the same virus as chickenpox, just after being announced as a presenter by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences last Wednesday. Ford’s representative confirmed he received his diagnosis on Friday and left the Oscars ceremony on Saturday morning, though he is reportedly resting and doing fine. Ford was originally scheduled to present alongside a star-studded lineup, including Rachel Zegler, Zoe Saldaña, Andrew Garfield, Samuel L. Jackson, and others. Last week, Ford also made headlines for humorously interrupting his “Shrinking” co-star Jessica Williams’ monologue at the Screen Actors Guild Awards by loudly crunching snacks in the background.
